Learn about each class below.

Social Studies

Free GED Social Studies Class

Welcome to the Social Studies Class!

This free Social Studies class will help you learn and study for the GED® or HiSET™, or TASC Social Studies test.

This free online class prepares you to take the official tests. The class will help you study for the GED®, HiSET™ and TASC social studies tests.

You will not receive a diploma from this class. You cannot take the tests online. To earn your GED®, you have to take the GED® tests in person at an official GED® testing location. After you pass all the subjects, you will get a high school equivalency diploma. Depending on what state or country you live in, your diploma will be called GED® or HiSET™ or TASC.

The goal of these free online classes is to prepare you to pass the official GED® tests.  Earning your diploma will give you more opportunities in school and at work. If you have a high school equivalency diploma, you can go to university. You can also find a better job.

The Social Studies GED®/HiSET™/TASC tests measure your understanding of the history, economics and geography of the United States and the world. Our lessons will teach you about those topics. The lessons also give you tips for answering test questions.

At the end of each of these lessons, there is a quiz. The quizzes will help you practice for your GED®, HiSET™, or TASC test. They ask the same type of questions that you will be asked in the real test.

You can take the quizzes as many times as you need. You can study at anytime. You can leave the lessons and log back in on a different day.

You can finish your education!

Welcome to the GED®/HiSet™ Science Preparation class!

This free GED® science segment class will help you understand what science is and what scientific research is. The class will introduce you to physics, biology, and chemistry. You will learn about earth sciences and outer space.

You don’t need to remember everything, but it will help you in your test to be familiar with some current scientific issues.

Test questions

Most of the test questions will ask you to read a scientific text and answer questions. We want to prepare you. At the end of each lesson, there is a quiz. The quiz questions are similar to the GED® test questions.

Take the quizzes as many times as you like. Keep practicing, whenever you have time.

Please remember that we are here to help you if you have questions.

Vocabulary

Science uses many long and uncommon words. Even many native English speakers do not know the words. At the end of each lesson, there is a vocabulary review. Look up words that you do not know. This will help you learn and understand.
